Year 2011 Day 173 June 22: A Discussion of Alternate Probable Events

Day 173 Date:  Wednesday June 22, 2011 

Beginning Comments:

            We are now in what I call summer solstice energy.

            Over my life, this time of year has sometimes been very impactful. 

            For instance, on June 23 1980, I began training as a computer programmer; this training changed my life and gave me a 25 year career in IT. 

            Four years ago today, we closed on our house in Richfield Minnesota.  For me, that closing represented the end of a 36 year residency in that state.

            Even before I was born, this time of year was significant.  My parents married on June 21, 1937.

            Astrologically, it is a time when the sun enters Cancer – tropically at least.

            Tropically or sidereally, it is also a time of year when the transiting sun is trine my natal sun, and conjunct my natal north node. 

            Some astrologers contend the north node is about karmic events, and others do not; in my case, those years when I have had some kind of major change in my life, I feel there has been an element of karma in the events.

            There are some summer solstices, of course, that have been uneventful, and there have been more of those than the eventful ones

But this brings me back to the present.

If my planned Australian tour had not been cancelled, today I would have headed for the airport in a few hours to connect with a plane that would get me to LAX in time to board a Qantas flight to Auckland, New Zealand.

As the beginning of this trip would have happened during my possible event changing “window”, I cannot help but wonder about it.

The circumstances were so strange.  The touring company had even purchased my tickets, and then, 5 days after doing so, abruptly cancelled the tour.

As I have mentioned before, my take was that the Touring Company had just enough people to make the trip profitable, and then had a party (two or more) cancel out.

But as I think about it, I can almost see that in some alternative reality,   those who cancelled out did not and the tour went on without incident.

Part of me can actually picture myself arriving at Denver International and checking my bags today for my New Zealand/Australian adventure.

If this is the case, and in some probability I am headed for down under today, can I also see if it triggers some kind of life altering event?

Energy Shift:

"Ashunayetya!

            I am standing at the Denver International with my bags in hand, but I am as a ghost, for I realize no one can see me except Benjamin and Xan who are standing somewhat close to a baggage carousel, grinning and waving.

            It is interesting to look around at the airport from a Focus 12 or greater perspective.   There are all kinds of energy currents flowing about; some of them are beautiful, but a few are dark and forbidding.

            As I watch the energies, I feel Benjamin’s hand on my elbow.

            “Let us find a spot somewhat less distracting”, He gently suggests.

            In a click, I find myself seated around a circular plastic table where I can see both Benjamin and Xan distinctly.

            I chuckle when I notice a Starbucks cup on the table.  I pick it up and take a sip - it is steamed apple juice, my favorite.

            As I put the cup down, I put out the challenge to my friends.  “Ok, what gives?”

            Xan chuckles. “What you would have learned if you had gone today is not much.  You would have enjoyed yourself, made a few friends who you would have lost touch with once you were back home, and would have been able to retrieve some of the energy you were seeking, but it would not have been life altering.”

            “ Instead, you are in the process of dealing with issues around both health and career which you either would have missed entirely, or touched out of timing.”

            Benjamin notices Xan’s words has triggered some level of fear in me, and hastens to add “We are not saying that there will be any dramatic events occurring to you in the next 10 weeks, but the choices you are forming at this time might also slowly become life altering.

            Please recall that, you began training as a computer programmer the last week of June but were that you were in classes through the summer and did not get an assignment as a programmer until the end of August.

            So look for the seeds that you are now sowing, and do not expect full grown plants to present themselves in the next few weeks.”

            Benjamin sends me a grin. “That saying, there is always room for pleasant surprises.”

            Xan and Benjamin rise, give me space to give thanks, present their Ashunayetyas and vanish.

            For a short time, I remain at the table, sipping my cider and watching the energy flows – both in the air and around the people who walk by.

            I think the next time I am in an airport physically, I am going to try to change focus and see what the energies look like when I am not viewing them remotely.
