Year 2011 Day 129 May 09: A Nonphysical Statistical Review of the New Madrid Fault

Day 129 Date:  Monday May 09, 2011

Beginning Comments:

Today, I have a few brief announcements:

First, on June 1 the next new moon, in Gemini will be conjunct the Sun, causing a solar eclipse; this is only the beginning of the eclipse event, for there will then be a lunar eclipse 14-15 days later (in Sagittarius) and on July 1, there will be another solar eclipse in Cancer.

These two eclipses are associated with Saros Cycle 13, which is a group of eclipses associated with expansion accompanied by frustration, inhibitions, loss or separation.

All of this energy is building right now, and should begin to lessen after the first of July.

With two eclipses in the same cycle, I would expect that the energy might be a little more powerful than some.

Again, as these eclipses are part of the 13 series (only South rather than North, which was in January), Australia and New Zealand are still vulnerable.

Considering that Australia had some nasty floods this spring and New Zealand a devastating quake, I would say there has already been an impact.

Perhaps it is better to wait until September (when the energy will be waning) to visit that part of the world.

Christchurch New Zealand is still having aftershocks of 5 + magnitude.  As that area of the world is someplace I will be visiting, I would be just as happy to see it calm down a little.

My second announcement is a reminder that I will be at the Mandolin Café in downtown Loveland on Tuesday May 10 from 04:30 to 06:30 PM. This summer, I may phase out the astrology readings and switch to Destiny Card Forecasts (depending on demand), so if you are interested in a mini Sidereal/Tropical natal chart reading,  try visiting on the second or fourth Tuesday of the month before the end of June.

Last but not least, if any of you are interested in extraterrestrial subjects, Northern Colorado MUFON will be meeting on Thursday May 12 at 7 PM at the Greeley Unitarian Church.  The speaker will be Dr. Leo Sprinkle, counseling psychologist who will be discussing his UFO experiences, both personal and that of abductee clients.

His viewpoint on UFO’s is that their appearance is part of an “educational project aiding the consciousness conditioning” of people on our planet.

His talk, therefore, should be enormously interesting.

The charge at the door is $5 per person.  If anyone is interested in attending the function and needs more information, feel free to email me.

Today, I am having a bit of a tug of war with my sources.  Just before I started writing, I got some information on the possibility of the Mississippi River Flooding triggering the New Madrid fault in Tennessee-Missouri.

My curiosity led me to check out a few websites which speak to the fault.

Because there does not seem to be on the ‘ring of fire’,  I assumed that the earthquakes were a consequence of ‘settling’,  but learned that area is part of a rift (a weakness or pulling apart area) in the middle of the US which actually has some secondary tectonic activity associated with it.

I call it secondary because the fault is not about mountain building, but it is a place on the planet where forces has pulled on the land enough so that it actually has some magma build up closer to the surface.

This fault moves hardly at all compared to the faults of say, California, and there may be evidence that the energy is going elsewhere.

At the same time, there is evidence of earthquake activity in this area for a longer time than man has been a species on this planet, so no one knows.

Whether heavy floods would trigger an earthquake, however, is unknowable.

All my questions about this have gotten Xan’s attention, and I find myself already headed for his “computer lab”:

Beginning Time:  MDT 5/9/2011 12:33:14 PM   Location: Loveland, Co

Energy Shift:

"Ashunayetya!

Today, I find myself standing in front of a computer screen, which has a graph on it.

This graph charts earthquake activity in the area of the New Madrid fault going back some thousands of years and projected forward for as long.

When I check the “you are here” spot on the time line, it seems that the graph line has had a slight dip in it, but that is over and it is beginning to rise.

Then a probability analysis shows up in a corner of the screen.

This shows that the chance of a major earthquake within the next twenty to thirty years is about 86.4 %.

That’s a lot higher than I wanted to hear.

As the computer screen goes blank, I pull my energies back to normal consciousness.

            Ashunayetya!

                     Dori"

Ending Comments:

No pun intended, but I find those figures unsettling.

Normally, my probability statistics are not anywhere near that high.
